I credit my mom, Nancy Worthington, for my early awareness that there is no such place as “away” in “throw it away.” Working with graphic designers to help them produce their designs in print in the most sustainable way possible has taught me that design is not about decoration, it is a process of creative thought to engage and inform the end-user; it is a tool of transformative leadership.
