Joe Isaak has more than 20 years of experience in sales, market development, and print and paper education with Potlatch, Sappi Fine Paper, Spicers Paper and AIGA Minnesota. Over the years, he has worked with the nation’s leading designers and printers to produce a wide range of award-winning projects, including annual reports, websites, package design, advertising campaigns and all forms of print collateral.
Joe led Sappi’s Ideas that Matter, a grant program designed to help designers educate, inspire and transform the world for social good through the power of their ideas. He also has organized numerous market surveys, coordinated tradeshow events, and supervised the successful brand launch of new paper brands. A Graphic Design graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and working on a marketing degree from Augsburg College, Joe has extended his familiarity with different facets of graphic design through knowledge gained on the street, in pressrooms and in corporate brand strategy meetings. He has been the go-to guy for those seeking information on color management, sustainability, specialty techniques, drawdowns, markups, press proof sign-offs, out-of-home, and everything in-between enough so that he has conducted educational workshops on sustainability, printing and paper matters. Joe knows paper and print and how to get things done efficiently and right. Plus he’s a great guy.
