Lizza Gutierrez is a dreamer and the principal graphic designer of Lizza’s Room, a design studio she established in the Philippines.
Lizza earned an MA in Communication and Packaging Design at New York’s Pratt Institute. She is a founding member of Liga Grafica, a non-profit association of Filipino graphic designers.
From September to December 2010, Liga Grafica facilitated a workshop called Design Matters at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde School of Design and Arts. Aside from helping instill social awareness and responsibility, the workshop provided a venue for real interaction and design solutions between the participating non-profit organizations/advocacies and the students.
Lizza’s work in branding, identity, print and editorial have earned her an Award of Merit for Editorial Design at the 2010 HOW International Awards. Her work and design insights are also included in the Rockport-published book, “100 Habits of Successful Freelance Designers.”
